Despite the name, “mind-fulness,” meditation is not about the cerebral mind overcoming the physical body. Instead, mindfulness practice includes deeply connecting with the body and learning to reap the support and wisdom it offers. Join us as we explore mindfulness of the body as an integral part of mindfulness practice. The day will include guided and silent meditations, alternating periods of sitting and walking, and short Dharma talks. The retreat will take place in our Zoom virtual Meditation Hall.

1 day Online Daylong Retreat: Modes of Investigation with Kim Allen
June 1, 2024,  Saturday, 9:00 am  to 4:30 pm

This daylong includes practices of investigation and inquiry that rely on several modes of knowing. Participants will broaden and refine their understanding of Dharma investigation and how it facilitates liberation.

The day will include sitting and walking meditation, instructions, a dharma talk, and an opportunity to ask questions of the teacher. The retreat will take place in our Zoom virtual Meditation Hall.

1 day Daylong Online Retreat: RAFTT, A Mindfulness Pratice with Tanya Wiser
July 13, 2024,  Saturday, 9:00 am  to 4:30 pm

Mindfulness is akin to rafting, as illustrated in a teaching attributed to the Buddha, where he likened mindfulness to a raft. This metaphor emphasizes that mindfulness must be actively practiced, cultivated, and sustained. Like building a raft to navigate turbulent waters, mindfulness helps us traverse challenging experiences. For the RAFTT practice, each step mirrors assembling the elements of a raft to navigate the currents of mind, perception, and emotion.

The day will include sitting and walking meditation, instructions, a dharma talk, and an opportunity to ask questions of the teacher. The retreat will take place in our Zoom virtual Meditation Hall.

You will receive an email with a link to the website we use for our online retreats one week before the retreat starts. This website will include all the details you will need, including the schedule for the day and the Zoom link to the Meditation Hall.
